Lab Technician – Automotive Refinish

About the role

We are looking for a Lab Technician to join our Refinish team in Whitehouse, OH. As a Lab Technician, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining refinish color formulas that support our customers and drive business success.

Key responsibilities

• Mix and apply paint samples using both manual and automated robotic application methods.
• Perform laboratory testing activities, maintain test panels, and ensure accurate documentation and sample organization.
• Support the development of color solutions for the global refinish business by following established laboratory procedures and best practices.
• Promote and adhere to all safety, health, and environmental standards within the color laboratory.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including innovation, digitalization, and process optimization projects related to color development.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably within coatings, paints, manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• Comfortable working in a laboratory setting for extended periods and able to perform associated physical activities.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills while also being able to work independently.
• Basic computer proficiency, including email, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and meet project timelines in a fast‑paced environment.
