About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Lab Support Technician I to join its Lab Support Services team. This entry‑level position provides essential assistance to clinical and research laboratories, ensuring smooth daily operations and high‑quality sample handling.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory tasks such as specimen processing, equipment cleaning, and inventory management.
• Assist laboratory staff with sample preparation, labeling, and documentation.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Support equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
• Track and replenish laboratory supplies, ensuring timely availability.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Effective communication skills and teamwork orientation.
