Juvenile Probation Parole Specialist II – Warner Robins, GA

About the role

Under general supervision, provide social services to assist in the rehabilitation of law offenders in custody or on probation, developing and monitoring rehabilitation plans and conditional release requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Interview probationers and parolees regularly to evaluate progress and compliance with rehabilitation plans.
• Recommend remedial or court action for non‑compliance and prepare related reports.
• Administer drug and alcohol testing, including random screens, and verify participation in treatment programs.
• Maintain case files, write progress reports, and testify in court regarding offender backgrounds and sentencing recommendations.
• Supervise community‑based sentences such as electronically monitored home detention and conduct field visits to homes, workplaces, or schools.

Required profile

• Associate degree in a related field with two years of relevant human services experience, or four years of direct case‑management experience with offenders.
• Or two years of experience at the lower‑level Juvenile Probation/Parole Specialist I (SSP130/PSP240) or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain State of Georgia P.O.S.T. certification within six months of hire.
• Physical ability to meet agency‑established agility standards and perform safety‑critical tasks.
