About the role

One Journey is seeking enthusiastic local guides to lead private journeys across New York City. You will share the city’s hidden stories, neighbourhood rhythms, and off‑the‑beaten‑path experiences with visitors, ensuring each tour feels personal and memorable.

Key responsibilities

• Design and lead private tours tailored to guests’ interests and time constraints.
• Provide insightful commentary on history, culture, architecture, and local anecdotes.
• Maintain a warm, professional demeanor while ensuring safety and comfort throughout the journey.
• Adapt itineraries on the fly based on weather, guest preferences, or unexpected opportunities.
• Collect feedback after each tour to continuously improve the experience.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of New York City beyond typical tourist spots.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Prior experience guiding private tours or similar hospitality roles.
• Customer‑first mindset with a passion for storytelling.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional appearance.
