Java Engineer – Cloud & AI Projects

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Java Engineer to join its Financial Services unit in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on building and enhancing AI‑driven, cloud‑based applications for banking, wealth management and insurance clients. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality software that accelerates digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Document and refine business requirements as part of the elicitation process.
• Lead design discussions, capture decisions and guide the technical team.
• Develop new features and integrate updates into existing Java applications, ensuring system stability.
• Perform code reviews, maintain repositories and implement test strategies.
• Analyze test results, coordinate bug fixes and uphold software quality standards.
• Create user training materials, documentation and support frameworks for smooth deployments.
• Participate in production issue resolution and propose preventive measures.
• Maintain detailed records of code changes, testing techniques and support activities.

Required profile

• Strong collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage end‑to‑end SDLC phases from requirement gathering to implementation.
• Experience translating complex requirements into functional software solutions.
