Java Developer – Microservices

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Java Developer specialized in microservices to join its Retail, Consumer Goods and Logistics unit in Austin, Texas. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining high‑performance backend services that support clients' digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements elicitation and document assigned business requirements.
• Facilitate software design discussions and record design decisions to guide the technical team.
• Develop new features and integrate updates into existing applications while maintaining system stability.
• Conduct code reviews, modify the codebase, and maintain code repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyze results, coordinate bug fixes, and uphold software quality standards.
• Create user training materials, documentation, and support frameworks for smooth application rollout.
• Participate in production issue resolution and recommend preventive measures to improve reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities for knowledge sharing.
