Java Developer

About the role

Infosys is looking for a Java Developer to join its Manufacturing unit in Dearborn, Michigan. The role sits within the Technology Consultant 2 band and focuses on building and enhancing full‑stack applications that support automotive, aerospace and industrial manufacturing customers.

Key responsibilities

• Document and refine business requirements and participate in design discussions.
• Develop, test and integrate new features into existing Java‑based applications while ensuring system stability.
• Conduct code reviews, maintain code repositories and implement continuous delivery pipelines.
• Design and execute test strategies, analyse results and coordinate bug fixes.
• Create user training materials, documentation and support frameworks for smooth software roll‑outs.
• Resolve production issues and propose preventive measures to improve reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code changes, testing techniques and support activities.

Required profile

• Strong collaborative spirit with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage end‑to‑end SDLC phases from requirement gathering to implementation.
• Proven capability to translate complex requirements into actionable development tasks.
• Hands‑on coding passion with a proactive approach to testing and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams on software integration.
