IT Technical Support Specialist – Hybrid (Decatur, GA)

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking an IT Technical Support Specialist to join the Georgia Regional Hospital team in Decatur. This hybrid position combines on‑site assistance with remote support, ensuring the hospital’s technology environment runs smoothly and securely.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, servers, email, laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and support workstation software, hardware, printers, and phones.
• Analyze staff needs, identify vulnerabilities, and implement improvements to boost efficiency.
• Execute system and network design, documentation, testing, and administration.
• Implement software upgrades, troubleshoot performance issues, and manage asset inventory.
• Provide training and technical support to employees on software and hardware.
• Coordinate refresh exceptions through the DWPA program and maintain stock inventory.

Required profile

• Experience troubleshooting end‑user devices (desktops, laptops, Surface Pro).
• Background working in an Active Directory domain environment.
• Proficiency with software installation and issue resolution.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals.
