IT Systems Engineer – Mobile Client Platform

About the role

Anthropic’s Endpoint team is looking for an experienced engineer to build and run a corporate‑issued mobile device program. You will move the current BYOD model to a fully managed fleet of company phones and Apple accounts, shaping the solution from early design through production across all regions where Anthropic operates.

Key responsibilities

• Define device standards, issuance policies, and a rollout plan that scales globally.
• Manage procurement partners, regional logistics, spare inventory, and refresh cycles.
• Integrate mobile configuration into the team’s config‑as‑code pipeline for review, testing, and staged deployment.
• Implement zero‑touch enrollment for iOS (Apple Business Manager, ADE) and Android equivalents.
• Own the full device lifecycle, from provisioning to secure wipe.
• Develop telemetry to monitor device health, OS patches, and configuration drift.
• Run managed app distribution, from approval to update rollout.
• Collaborate with Corporate Security on device posture, trust signals, and travel‑device policies.
• Establish the relationship between corporate‑issued devices and BYOD, maintaining clear boundaries.

Required profile

• 8+ years leading a global or multi‑region mobile device program at thousand‑device scale.
• Deep expertise in iOS device management, including enrollment flows, Apple Business Manager, ADE, APNs, certificate lifecycle, and declarative management.
• Proven experience with Android device management in mixed‑fleet environments.
• Strong belief in treating device configuration as code rather than manual console clicks.
• Hands‑on experience operating a self‑hosted MDM infrastructure (servers, AWS, Terraform, automated configuration).
