IT Support Specialist – Field Based

About the role

DIG is looking for a full‑time, field‑based IT Support Specialist to provide on‑site and remote technical assistance across its restaurant locations. You will work closely with the Sr. IT Manager and the support team to keep hardware, networks, and critical systems running smoothly for both employees and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for hardware and software issues, delivering on‑site and remote support.
• Troubleshoot POS systems, online ordering platforms, and restaurant network connectivity.
• Install, repair, and label network cables, data jacks, and rack equipment.
• Mount and maintain tech equipment, ensuring proper cable management.
• Perform preventative maintenance and upgrades on computers, printers, and POS devices.
• Document resolutions in the ticketing system and improve internal processes.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and device inventory (Macs, PCs, printers, mobile devices).
• Assist with onboarding/off‑boarding tasks such as machine imaging and training.
• Support business‑class audio, CCTV, and inventory management systems.
• Provide on‑call after‑hours support as needed.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic and eager to learn in a fast‑paced, small IT team.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in restaurant environments and travel within the New York City area.
