IT Statewide Engineer 1 – Information Security Architecture

About the role

The Office of Technology Services (OTS) is seeking an IT Statewide Engineer 1 to join its Information Security Operations and Architecture team. Reporting to the Director of Information Security Architecture and Operations, the incumbent will provide technical guidance and consulting across OTS service areas to strengthen the State’s information security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise security technologies that align risk management with business needs.
• Collaborate with the State’s Information Security Team to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks.
• Provide technical recommendations and consulting to operational OTS service areas on security matters.
• Ensure security controls support and enable the operational requirements of State agencies.
• Contribute to the development of security policies, standards, and best practices.

Required profile

• Five years of experience in information technology or administrative services, or equivalent education and experience combinations as outlined in the posting.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize tasks under direction from senior security leadership.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills applied to security risk assessment.
