About the role

The University of Maryland’s Division of Information Technology is seeking an IT Compliance Coordinator to support cybersecurity and compliance operations. The role involves monitoring adherence to IT policies, reviewing data from multiple sources, and coordinating remediation efforts across the institution.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify compliance issues using endpoint management platforms, log management systems, vulnerability assessment tools, and inventory solutions.
  • Track progress toward full compliance for university units and produce regular reports for Division of IT leadership.
  • Interface with departmental IT units to document compliance efforts and coordinate follow‑up actions.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience).
  • At least two years of professional experience in finance, grants, contracts, or compliance.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
