Inventory Planning and Replenishment Analyst

About the role

The Inventory, Planning and Replenishment Analyst (IPR) works within Supply Chain and partners with merchants to develop and implement inventory strategies that maximize sales and inventory productivity for a merchandising category. The analyst maintains the right in-stock positions and manages inventory effectively across stores and SKUs, working with merchants, vendors, stores, transportation, distribution and sourcing. The role sits in the Store Support Center and reports to a Manager with no direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Manage 36 vendors and $135 million of inventory, supporting $658 million of annual sales across 464,000 SKUs.
• In stock and replenishment (35%): review daily orders, upload OUTLs, manage CAR parameters, identify in-stock drivers and act.
• Primary point of contact for the merchant (25%) and respond to field concerns with oversight (15%).
• Manage transitions and resets with oversight (15%) and identify process challenges to review with leadership (5%).
• Vendor communication (5%).
• Create accurate SKU forecasts, set category parameters, achieve target in-stock levels and planned inventory turns, and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED; BA/BS degree preferred.
• No required work experience or leadership experience.
• Typically requires less than 10% overnight travel; mostly sitting work in a comfortable indoor setting.
