Integrated Clinical Psychologist – Pediatric Primary Care

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking an Integrated Care Pediatric Clinical Psychologist to join its Northshore primary‑care clinic in Covington, Louisiana. The role focuses on delivering mental‑health services to children, adolescents and their families within a growing pediatric primary‑care setting. The psychologist will work collaboratively with medical providers to integrate behavioral health into routine care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to children, adolescents and families in the pediatric primary‑care clinic.
• Respond to consult requests from pediatric providers, triage needs, and deliver brief, solution‑focused interventions.
• Recommend and coordinate follow‑up services, guiding families through referral pathways.
• Develop and implement screening protocols for common childhood mental‑health concerns.
• Collaborate with clinic staff to create and enact crisis response protocols.
• Stay current on integrated‑care research and participate in regional or national workgroups.
• Participate in monthly department meetings and relevant grand rounds.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA‑approved program (or in School/Counseling Psychology with extensive integrated‑care experience).
• License or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana.
• Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents.
• Experience in an integrated‑care setting is strongly preferred.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary health‑care teams and contribute to program development.
