About the role

The Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas seeks a dedicated Instructor to teach Fine Arts and Music courses across its campuses. The role involves delivering both face‑to‑face and online instruction while supporting the college’s recruitment and retention initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Teach a full complement of courses such as Theatre, Fine Arts, Music Appreciation, and Art Appreciation.
• Deliver instruction in classroom settings and via online platforms, including virtual labs.
• Participate in recruiting, retention, and campus‑wide committees and projects.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to advance the college’s mission.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in music, art, rhetoric, or a closely related field (preferred).
• Experience conducting coursework online and integrating technology into instruction.
• Three or more years of teaching experience, preferably in higher education.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Blackboard learning management system.
• Familiarity with Workday for administrative tasks.
• Experience using Zoom and Microsoft Teams for virtual instruction.
