Inpatient Physical Therapist – Rehab Services

About the role

The Inpatient Physical Therapist provides evaluation and treatment programs for patients admitted to the hospital, following physician orders. Working closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, the therapist helps patients achieve specific functional goals and transition to the appropriate level of post‑acute or home care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized inpatient physical therapy treatment plans.
• Monitor patient response, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document care according to hospital standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to ensure coordinated care and safe patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to hospital quality and safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
• No prior work experience required.
• Current state physical therapy license or eligibility for licensure, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills

• Physical therapy licensure (or eligibility) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications for documentation and communication.
