Inpatient Physical Therapist (PRN)

At Ochsner, you will evaluate patients and provide inpatient physical therapy treatment programs based on physician orders, collaborating with the healthcare team to achieve patient‑specific goals and facilitate appropriate post‑acute or home care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment programs to meet individual patient goals.
• Assess patient response to treatment and adjust plans to improve outcomes and maintain safety.
• Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with documentation standards.
• Ensure treatment protocols align with hospital quality and safety targets.
• Adapt communication and care approach to respect patient privacy and preferences.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.
• Current physical therapy license in the state of practice, or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
