Industrial Maintenance Technician – Multi-craft Electrical

About the role

3M is looking for a full‑time Industrial Maintenance Technician with multi‑craft electrical expertise to join its Cottage Grove, MN facility. The role involves maintaining and improving a wide range of electrical, electronic and pneumatic systems that support production, laboratory and utility operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, modify, calibrate and adjust electrical, electronic and pneumatic process control equipment.
• Service heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning, refrigeration and climate‑control systems across production and support areas.
• Respond to shop work orders efficiently and safely, documenting all activities in the CMMS.
• Implement and enhance preventive maintenance procedures.
• Identify and procure necessary parts, tools and supplies for each job.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in electrical maintenance or completion of an approved apprenticeship.
• Minimum five years of electrical maintenance or troubleshooting experience in an industrial setting.
• Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record.
• Willingness to learn and expand technical capabilities.
