Industrial Maintenance Electrician

About the role

Join 3M’s industrial team in Minnesota as an Electrician responsible for maintaining and improving electrical power distribution and control systems across production, laboratory and utility areas.

Key responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, modify and adjust electrical power distribution systems, lighting, and control devices.
• Maintain and service AC and DC motors, generators, and related drive components such as belts and couplings.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and vendor diagrams to ensure accurate work.
• Stay current with the National Electrical Code and local electrical codes.
• Complete required shop paperwork, including daily work records and preventive‑maintenance route sheets.
• Operate a company vehicle for site travel as needed.

Required profile

• Current State of Minnesota Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least three years of industrial maintenance experience with electrical power distribution, lighting, motor and control wiring.
• Minimum five years total experience as a licensed electrician, including three years in an industrial plant setting.
