Industrial Engineer – Manufacturing Optimization

About the role

We are seeking an Industrial Engineer to drive efficiency in the production of autonomous surface vessels. The role focuses on optimizing material flow, applying lean and Six Sigma principles, and leveraging data analytics to enhance our manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and improve material flow across all manufacturing stages to ensure smooth production.
• Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste, shorten cycle times, and increase throughput.
• Perform data analysis, generate actionable insights, and support decision‑making for process improvements.
• Design and refine production workflows, aligning materials, components, and labor for maximum efficiency.
• Develop and maintain performance metrics, KPIs, and other tools to monitor production effectiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and operations teams to ensure new or modified products are manufacturable.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, quality issues, and other inefficiencies.
• Assist in capacity planning and resource allocation to meet production targets.
• Provide training and guidance on lean, Six Sigma, and data analytics techniques.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum three years of experience in industrial engineering, preferably in high‑tech, defense, or maritime environments.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and workflow optimization.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) is a plus.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Excel for data analysis.
• Experience using statistical software such as Minitab.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
