Individual Contractor – Data Management Support

About the role

This short‑term contract will support the Office of the Special Coordinator on improving the United Nations response to sexual exploitation and abuse (OSCSEA). The incumbent will work on data management, analysis and visualisation to inform reporting, prevention and response strategies. The role is based at UNHQ in New York and reports to the Senior Political Affairs Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and analyse qualitative and quantitative SEA data from iReport and the system‑wide Annual Survey on PSEA.
• Clean, quality‑assure and disseminate data from the 2026 annual system‑wide survey.
• Support the review and preparation of the 2027 survey cycle in line with the updated PSEA strategy.
• Maintain and improve dashboards and visualisations using Power BI, Verint, Excel and web‑based platforms.
• Coordinate system‑wide SEA data standards, harmonisation and knowledge sharing.
• Assist with iReport finalisation, field adjustments, data cleaning and user training.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s) in computer science, data science, analytics, statistics or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum one year of experience in applied analytics, business intelligence or information management.
• Experience with data collection, statistical analysis and creating user‑friendly visualisations.
• Working knowledge of statistical software such as R, SPSS or Stata.
• Experience addressing sexual and gender‑based violence, SEA or protection of civilians.
• Fluency in English (oral and written); knowledge of French or Spanish is desirable.
