Independent Field Inspector – Property Inspections

About the role

Seek Now is looking for 1099 independent field inspectors to perform accurate, impartial property inspections for insurance, facility management and real‑estate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Access and inspect steep or high roofs, lifting and setting up ladders and equipment up to 100 lb.
• Sketch, measure and scope roof, room and other inspection areas of various shapes and sizes.
• Perform complete, unbiased inspections, documenting age, condition and other relevant data.
• Travel to catastrophe‑affected areas on short notice, often for 2‑6 week assignments.
• Use Seek Now’s proprietary mobile app to record findings on a smartphone.
• Cover a 100‑mile radius around your home market and operate equipment such as 3D cameras, drones and moisture meters.

Required profile

• Clean, reliable vehicle capable of transporting a 32‑foot ladder.
• Operational laptop and smartphone for data entry and navigation of applications.
• Valid driver’s license, state‑issued workers’ compensation, general liability insurance and LLC documentation.
• Ability to travel during severe weather events and earn HAAG certification within 90 days.
• Professional appearance and ability to submit complete, quality reports on time.

Required skills

• Use of 3D cameras for detailed imaging.
• Operation of drones for aerial inspection.
• Application of moisture meters to assess material conditions.
• Proficiency with Seek Now’s proprietary inspection software.
• Competence in Microsoft Office suite for reporting.
