Hybrid Systems Administrator – NYC

About the role

Our client, a private investment firm located in Midtown Manhattan, is looking for a Systems Administrator who will combine hands‑on IT support with core systems administration. The position is hybrid, allowing you to work both onsite and remotely while ensuring the firm’s technology environment runs smoothly for all users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑touch support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices and applications, both onsite and remotely.
• Troubleshoot and resolve day‑to‑day and escalated technical issues.
• Manage ticketing workflow, maintain clear communication and follow‑through.
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Support networking, security tools and enterprise systems.
• Configure and deploy hardware, including laptops, mobile devices and A/V equipment.
• Lead projects such as OS migrations, upgrades and hardware refreshes.
• Oversee patching, updates and overall system maintenance.
• Coordinate with external vendors and internal stakeholders on escalations and initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve user experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a hybrid Systems Administrator/IT Support role.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, macOS and mobile platforms.
• Ability to work with users at all levels and communicate clearly.
• Service‑oriented, “white‑glove” mindset.
