HVAC/Electrical Instructor Part-Time

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time HVAC/Electrical Instructor to deliver classroom and virtual training for TPC Training. The instructor will teach 2‑25 students on a range of electrical and mechanical topics, using hands‑on labs and lecture formats.

Key responsibilities

• Provide instruction on electrical and mechanical subjects, including hands‑on labs and lectures.
• Travel to training sites and manage training equipment up to 90 lb.
• Prepare and deliver presentations using MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Excel and Zoom.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of field experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or skilled trades professional.
• Strong presentation and customer‑service skills with a passion for sharing knowledge.
• Ability to travel and lift equipment up to 90 lb.
• Associate degree or higher, or relevant license/certification.

Required skills

• Basic electricity and electrical troubleshooting.
• Arc‑Flash safety, NFPA 70E, and NEC code compliance.
• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Electrical diagram reading.
• Air‑conditioning, refrigeration, boiler operation, chilled‑water systems.
• HVAC electrical controls, pumps, hydraulics, and mechanical maintenance.
• Proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Excel and Zoom.
