About the role
We are looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to provide field support for commercial and light‑industrial clients in the Raleigh area. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on large‑scale HVAC equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including DX systems (up to 100 tons), packaged AC units (up to 150 tons), water‑source heat pumps, and gas‑fired or electric heating systems.
- Work with pneumatic, electronic, and DDC control systems, air handlers, and VAV systems.
- Perform startup and commissioning for new commercial installations.
- Adjust valves, controls, and pumps to ensure proper fluid, pressure, and temperature operation.
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks such as coil cleaning, belt replacement, and duct inspections.
- Diagnose equipment issues, resolve problems, and escalate when necessary.
- Maintain daily communication with dispatchers and provide timely status updates.
Required profile
- High school diploma, GED, or HVAC trade school certification.
- Universal EPA Certification (Type I or Universal) required.
- Minimum five years of hands‑on commercial HVAC experience.
- Reliable attendance, flexible shift availability, and willingness to participate in on‑call rotations.
- Professional appearance, well‑maintained tools, and clean driving record.
- Pass background check, drug screen, and possess a valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to follow safety protocols.
