HVAC General Trades Technician (Level 2) – State Government

About the role

The Georgia Department of Defense is hiring a General Trades Tech 2 – HVAC to support the 116th Air Wing in Warner Robins. You will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning systems for commercial facilities, ensuring reliable climate control for mission‑critical environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install new HVAC equipment in compliance with company standards and local building codes.
• Perform routine maintenance to keep systems operating efficiently.
• Diagnose system failures, troubleshoot issues, and execute repairs or part replacements.
• Communicate technical information to customers in clear, understandable terms.
• Follow all safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and documentation procedures.

Required profile

• 2–3 years proven experience as an HVAC Technician.
• Valid EPA Section 608 Certification (Type II or Universal).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment background and drug screening.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and work in confined or extreme‑weather conditions.
