HVAC Field Supervisor

About the role

The HVAC Field Supervisor oversees daily field operations, guiding technicians and apprentices to deliver safe, efficient, and high‑quality service across service, repair, retrofit and replacement projects. This role provides technical leadership, scheduling support, quality assurance and acts as the primary liaison between field staff, customers and management.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise HVAC technicians and apprentices on service, repair, retrofit and replacement projects, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support.
• Plan and coordinate scheduling, dispatch, and workload management to maximize field efficiency and ensure compliance with codes and manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct field visits to monitor progress, coach staff, and verify quality and safety standards.
• Serve as primary customer contact, handling inquiries, ensuring satisfaction, and maintaining accurate service documentation.

Required profile

• Associate degree or technical certification in HVAC, refrigeration or mechanical systems, with at least 10 years of industry experience.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in commercial HVAC or related fields.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and required EPA Universal Technician and NH Gas licenses.

Required skills

• HVAC, refrigeration, boiler and mechanical system knowledge.
• Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities using schematics and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with service software, mobile technology and computer applications.
