About the role

L’Oréal is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join its New York office on a contract basis. In this strategic position you will partner with business and functional leaders to shape people strategies that drive performance, agility, and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted strategic HR partner to assigned business units, translating business objectives into dynamic people strategies.
• Drive organizational enablement by empowering managers, reducing micromanagement, and accelerating decision‑making.
• Advise leaders on organizational design, structure optimization, and talent development initiatives.
• Champion continuous learning, skill development, and career pathing through rotation programs and talent‑management processes.
• Facilitate performance management, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Provide guidance on complex employee‑relations matters while upholding L’Oréal’s inclusive values.
• Partner with total‑rewards and recruitment teams to ensure competitive compensation and effective talent acquisition.
• Leverage HR data and analytics (e.g., Pulse, One Profile) to inform strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience as an HR manager or business partner in a large, fast‑moving organization.
• Strong ability to influence and advise senior leaders on people‑related strategies.
• Deep knowledge of talent development, performance management, succession planning, and employee‑relations.
• Proficiency in using HR analytics to drive insights and decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
