HR Manager

About the role

The HR Manager will lead the human resources function for a growing organization in West Monroe, LA. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on compensation, benefits, employee engagement, retention, professional development and diversity initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, select, orient, train, coach, counsel and discipline staff.
• Develop, write, update and enforce HR policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and advise management on required actions.
• Administer compensation, benefits, performance‑management systems and HR compliance programs.
• Maintain employee records, generate reports and represent the company in personnel hearings.
• Investigate employee issues, recommend solutions and manage corrective‑action processes.
• Conduct employee training sessions on HR topics.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• 3+ years of HR and/or legal experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• PHR/SPHR or CP/SCP certification or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment‑law obligations, EEO/AA, FMLA/ADA, OFCCP/EEOC, 401(k) and tax documentation.
