About the role
The HR Business Partner provides proactive HR guidance and support to designated departments, colleges, faculty, and staff at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. This role serves as the primary point of contact for all HR matters, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and institutional policies.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with administrators and faculty to advise on recruitment, onboarding, compensation, and performance management.
- Conduct job analysis, manage benefits administration, and support employee relations initiatives.
- Oversee disciplinary processes, employee leave administration, and HR policy interpretation.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Workday HRIS processes, ensuring accurate data and timely reporting.
- Provide guidance on HR best practices and serve as a resource for HR-related inquiries.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least three years of HR experience.
- Preferred: Master’s degree, five years of HR experience, and prior work in a university setting.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws and university HR policies.
