Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

Hampton Inn Morehead City, a 64-room hotel with waterfront views, is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor in Morehead City, NC. The supervisor leads the housekeeping team so that brand and hotel guest service and sustainability standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Train, schedule, coach and support associates so they meet brand and hotel standards and the company's core values.
• Screen job applicants and hire new employees, and train staff to clean rooms efficiently or partner with external vendors to ensure proper training.
• Communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction.
• Issue cleaning supplies and equipment, and occasionally clean rooms or assist staff.
• Address performance and behaviour concerns directly with associates or through vendors; supervise laundry employees if applicable.
• Prepare work schedules for associates or give vendors occupancy forecasts to ensure proper staffing.
• Follow sustainability guidelines under the EarthView program, practice safe work habits, wear protective equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Assist in the breakfast area as needed and perform other duties requested by management.

Required profile

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training required.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
