Housekeeper – Campus Housing & Student Center

About the role

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and welcoming environment for residents of a 177‑unit campus housing facility and for the Student Center. This role ensures daily cleaning, floor care, and sanitation across residential, common, and administrative areas.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of the Student Center, including vacuuming, mopping, detailed bathroom cleaning, trash removal, and sanitizing dining tables.
• Clean, disinfect, and organize common living spaces in the campus housing facility, covering windows, lobbies, community kitchens, public restrooms, and laundry areas.
• Maintain administrative offices, break rooms, conference rooms, and housekeeping storage areas.
• Deep‑clean vacant resident rooms, including kitchens, bathrooms, floors, and living areas, and restock linens and supplies.
• Provide weekly housekeeping for specialty suites, handling dusting, vacuuming, detailed kitchen and bathroom cleaning, and linen changes.
• Share floor‑care duties such as carpet cleaning, tile refinishing, and daily sweeping/mopping of hallways and stairways, moving furniture as needed.
• Manage recycling areas, trash chute rooms, and basement storage, and restock housekeeping carts with supplies.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED required; one year of housekeeping, hospitality, or facility‑maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain high performance and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated honesty, dependability, and integrity.
• Capacity to respond to customer requests in a friendly, professional manner.
