House Attendant - Hotel Housekeeping

About the role

The Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown hotel is looking for a dependable House Attendant to support the Housekeeping team, keep public areas clean and welcoming, and respond quickly to guest requests. The position is full time and pays $17.48 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hallways, elevators, stairwells, public restrooms and other assigned areas.
• Support Room Attendants by delivering linens, towels, amenities and cleaning supplies.
• Collect soiled linens and trash and move them to the right places.
• Respond courteously to guest requests for towels, toiletries and other approved items.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, dust surfaces and clean glass and fixtures.
• Keep linen closets, storage rooms and housekeeping service areas organized and stocked.
• Assist with scheduled deep cleaning and special housekeeping projects.
• Report maintenance needs, damaged items and safety concerns promptly.
• Follow guest privacy, room-entry, key-control and lost-and-found procedures.
• Safely use cleaning products and equipment, and communicate completed assignments and outstanding requests to the Housekeeping team.

Required profile

• Previous hotel housekeeping, custodial or professional cleaning experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and guest service.
• Ability to follow instructions, prioritize assignments and work independently.
• Dependable, team-oriented attitude and flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to perform essential duties such as prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting supplies and pushing linen or supply carts, with or without reasonable accommodation.
