Hospital/Clinic Collections Manager – Remote Option

About the role

The Hospital/Clinic Collections Manager oversees credit and collection functions, insurance collectors, AHCCCS, and department staff to ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations. This position coordinates schedules, audits accounts, and works to reduce accounts‑receivable days while maintaining the public image of Kingman Healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain inter‑departmental communication, collaborating closely with the Billing Manager on billing issues.
• Drive reduction of A/R days through audits, staff training, and process improvements.
• Plan, organize, and control patient service and demographic account information systems, monitoring quality and taking corrective action.
• Develop job descriptions, interview, select, and hire staff for approved positions.
• Conduct employee appraisals, schedule work hours, and apply corrective action when needed.
• Randomly audit patient accounts, cash receipts, and deposits to ensure accuracy and coach employees on improvement.

Required profile

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Accounting specific preferred).
• Experience: Minimum five (5) years in patient accounting and at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.

Required skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with pre‑billing or billing systems.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and office procedures.
