About the role
James River Home Health is seeking a compassionate Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to lead recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers who support patients in their homes.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement volunteer recruitment, training, and orientation programs.
- Assign volunteers to patients, supervise visits, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure documentation compliance.
- Maintain volunteer personnel files, monthly statistics, and communication channels.
- Participate in IDG meetings, QAPI activities, and self‑development through education and professional events.
Required profile
- Minimum one year experience in a health‑care setting (hospice or volunteer experience preferred).
- Human resources experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare Hospice Conditions of Participation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
