About the role
The Georgia Department of Public Health is seeking a dedicated HIV Prevention Health Educator to lead community‑based programs that reduce HIV and STI transmission. In this role you will design, implement and evaluate educational and outreach initiatives, promote testing and PrEP, and support individuals affected by HIV.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate outreach events and support Linkage and Prevention Coordinators with testing and preparation activities.
- Collect, analyze and report data to identify community needs and measure program impact.
- Develop and deliver educational materials and training sessions for health personnel and external stakeholders.
- Participate in public health emergency response activities as directed.
Required profile
- Experience in community health or public health program planning and evaluation.
- Strong ability to work with diverse populations and partner organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capacity to respond quickly during public health emergencies.
