Laboratory Aide 1

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Laboratory Aide to support technicians and laboratory scientists in a variety of routine tasks. Working under direct supervision, you will help ensure smooth laboratory operations and accurate specimen handling.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and label specimens for analysis.
• Perform basic health screenings such as EKGs, vision, and hearing tests.
• Maintain, prepare, and organize laboratory supplies and equipment.
• Assist with specimen transport and documentation.
• Carry out sterile processing of lab instruments and support result processing.
• Perform laboratory‑related housekeeping, clerical, and store‑keeping duties.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work under direct supervision.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Required skills

• Specimen collection and labeling.
• EKG administration.
• Vision and hearing screening procedures.
• Sterile processing of laboratory instruments.
