Infectious Disease Clinical Nursing Manager (RN)

About the role

The Georgia Department of Public Health is seeking a registered nurse to lead clinical operations for patients living with HIV/AIDS. This position oversees the Adult Health Promotion Clinic, ensuring high‑quality care, treatment adherence, and coordinated multidisciplinary services.

Key responsibilities

• Educate patients on antiretroviral therapy (ART) regimens, manage side effects, and develop strategies to improve medication adherence.
• Provide clinical oversight of nursing activities in the Adult Health Promotion Clinic, supporting and supervising staff.
• Manage a caseload of HIV‑positive patients, coordinating routine labs, appointments, and follow‑up care.
• Act as the primary liaison between patients, infectious disease physicians, Ryan White program case managers, and community support services.
• Lead care‑coordination efforts, ensuring seamless multidisciplinary collaboration.

Required profile

• Current RN licensure in Georgia.
• Experience in infectious disease or HIV/AIDS clinical care.
• Proven ability to manage case loads and lead nursing teams.
• Strong communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
