High School Religious Studies Teacher (Grades 9)

About the role

The Ursuline School seeks a dedicated High School Religious Studies Teacher for the 9th‑grade level. The role involves delivering the school’s Catholic faith‑based curriculum, fostering critical thinking, and supporting the whole‑person development of students.

Key responsibilities

• Teach three middle/high school Religious Studies courses, following the established curriculum.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop critical thinking, interpretation, analysis, and research skills.
• Differentiate instruction to meet varied academic and social‑emotional needs while maintaining high expectations.
• Utilize technology and instructional resources to support learning and assess student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and student support, and communicate with students, families, and administrators.
• Participate in faculty meetings, school activities, and professional learning opportunities.
• Lead an advisory group.

Required profile

• Practicing Catholic committed to faith‑based education.
• Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Experience teaching at the secondary level preferred.
• Ability to enter an established classroom, build relationships, and collaborate for a smooth transition.
