Heavy Haul CDL Driver

About the role

Omega Morgan is looking for experienced Class A CDL drivers to join our heavy‑haul team in Portland, Salt Lake City, and Houston. You will operate multi‑axle and combination trailers, load and unload freight, and ensure compliance with over‑dimensional permits and DOT regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and organize loads and trips to maximize efficiency.
• Communicate regularly with dispatch and operations to resolve issues.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and maintain equipment.
• Secure cargo using ropes, chains, binders, and other rigging tools.
• Drive up to ten hours per day in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Interact professionally with customers and address complaints.
• Document mileage and service hours accurately in a daily log.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of CDL driving experience; heavy‑haul experience preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card.
• LCV endorsement; doubles and triples endorsements preferred.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations for oversized loads and ability to read permits.
• Willingness to work 40 hours per week with overtime and travel as needed.
