Heating and Refrigeration Technician – Full‑Time Field Role

About the role

Alliance Group is looking for a full‑time Heating and Refrigeration Technician to join its North Clarendon, VT operations center. This field‑based position handles routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of residential and commercial HVAC and mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose service issues, obtain replacement parts, and calibrate HVAC/R systems to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform and document scheduled preventive maintenance safely and accurately.
• Maintain proper stock, tools, and safety equipment in the service vehicle.
• Provide clear communication to customers about issues, timelines, and resolutions.
• Identify and report potential business opportunities such as new systems or service contracts.
• Document installed equipment details, including make, model, serial number, fuel type, test measurements, and photos.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of HVAC experience (residential or commercial).
• NH and/or VT gas license preferred; EPA certification preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication, reliability, and problem‑solving skills.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license, U.S. work authorization, and ability to lift 50 lb and work at heights.
