About the role
The Health Unit Coordinator supports the G111 Leukemia Unit at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, assisting patients undergoing chemotherapy and intensive intravenous therapies. This full‑time position involves patient interaction, unit clerical duties, and equipment troubleshooting.
Key responsibilities
- Greet, welcome, and orient newly admitted or transferred patients.
- Respond to patient call lights, make rounds, and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Guide patients and families with wayfinding and resource referrals.
- Maintain patient medical records and related documentation.
- Perform unit clerical tasks and troubleshoot equipment such as call systems, portable phones, and WOW devices.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience in a customer‑service related role.
- Experience with typing and basic computer training.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Typing skills.
