About the role
The Health Unit Coordinator supports the H50 Colorectal Surgery unit at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, providing patient orientation, clerical assistance, and equipment troubleshooting during evening and night shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Greet, welcome and orient newly admitted and transferred patients.
- Respond to patient call lights, make rounds, and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Guide patients and families with wayfinding and resource referrals.
- Maintain patient medical records and related documentation.
- Perform unit clerical tasks and troubleshoot equipment such as call systems, portable phones, and WOW devices.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience in a customer‑service related role.
- Proficiency with typing and basic computer use.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
