About the role

The Health Science Core Instructor will deliver health science, patient care assisting/nurse aide, and phlebotomy courses on the Valdosta campus and in surrounding high schools. This position supports Georgia's commitment to high‑quality education and community health workforce development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction for health science core, patient care assisting/nurse aide, and phlebotomy curricula.
• Develop and use appropriate teaching methods and resources to meet program standards.
• Evaluate student clinical performance, procedural competencies, and academic progress.
• Maintain accurate gradebooks, testing procedures, and required documentation.
• Ensure safety and security in training areas and manage supplies and equipment.
• Prepare and submit administrative reports as required.

Required profile

• Relevant certification and credentials for health science instruction.
• Experience in teaching health‑related courses and evaluating clinical skills.
• Commitment to equity and support for under‑represented and disabled students.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency for record‑keeping and reporting.
