About the role

The Barbering Adjunct Instructor will join the faculty of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College’s Valdosta campus, delivering Barbering and Cosmetology courses to aspiring students. Working under general supervision, you will apply proven teaching techniques and maintain a safe, well‑organized learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction and hands‑on demonstrations for Barbering and Cosmetology curricula.
• Prepare and follow approved course syllabi, grading rubrics, and record‑keeping procedures.
• Order supplies, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Complete reports, invoices, and grade books accurately and on schedule.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current Master Barber License in the State of Georgia.
• Minimum one (1) year of professional experience in the field.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Commitment to supporting under‑represented and disabled students.
