Head of Platform Marketing

About the role

OpenGov is seeking a senior individual contributor to own the narrative for its Public Service Platform. The role reports to the SVP of Marketing and requires an expert writer and presenter who can make complex B2B SaaS platform stories clear and compelling for government buyers, field teams, and executives.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the platform narrative across all formats, including talk tracks, decks, video scripts, ad copy, onboarding material, and executive presentations.
• Ensure consistent platform messaging across GTM touchpoints such as seller pitches, analyst briefings, press releases, and customer stories, and resolve content conflicts before they reach the field.
• Drive adoption of new capabilities by working with sales, implementation, and customer success teams, and present the story directly to executives and field teams when needed.

Required profile

• 8+ years of product or platform marketing experience in a B2B SaaS environment.
• Proven ability to write clear, compelling copy that translates complex platform concepts into buyer‑focused messaging.
• Strong understanding of SaaS business mechanics, including pipeline generation, sales enablement, and customer success.
• Executive presence with confidence presenting to senior leaders and field teams.

• Demonstrated AI fluency for directing AI‑assisted workflows.
