Head of People

About the role

Posh is building a platform that reconnects people through real‑world communities. As Head of People you will own the entire people function – from attraction and hiring to development, performance, and off‑boarding – and shape a culture that balances high performance with trust and stability. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a small team and set the strategic direction for People Operations, Culture, and Talent.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute end‑to‑end talent acquisition, onboarding, and development processes.
• Build and maintain a performance management system that aligns with the company’s core values.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, payroll, and compliance for a fast‑scaling New York‑based organization.
• Lead employee relations, engagement surveys, leadership reviews, and culture‑building initiatives.
• Manage a team of a Director of Talent and a Culture Lead, providing coaching and direction.
• Partner with senior leadership to define and communicate the people strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading People Operations, Talent, or Culture functions in a high‑growth environment.
• Strong track record of building scalable HR processes and culture programs.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work closely with the CEO and leadership team.
• Hands‑on, player‑coach mindset, comfortable managing a small team.
