Head of Marketing Strategy & Operations

About the role

Replit is seeking a Head of Marketing Strategy & Operations to lead the business side of its rapidly growing marketing organization. This senior individual contributor will own the marketing budget, planning cadence, and partner directly with the CMO on executive communications.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end marketing budget with Finance, including allocation, tracking, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Build visibility layers for leadership on spend by team, channel and program.
• Run quarterly, half‑year and annual budget planning and present the case to Finance and executives.
• Manage vendor and agency contracts, from evaluation to renewal.
• Translate company goals into marketing OKRs, objectives and resourced plans, and maintain them as priorities shift.
• Design lightweight processes and tools that enable a 25‑person team to operate efficiently.
• Run the operating rhythm for marketing leadership, including meetings, all‑hands and readouts.
• Partner with the CMO on board materials, executive readouts and strategy documents.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on headcount planning, requisition tracking and interview processes.

Required profile

• 10+ years in marketing strategy & operations, strategic finance, management consulting or a similar role supporting a CMO or business unit leader.
• Experience owning a sizable marketing budget and speaking the language of finance (spend, forecast, variance).
• Proven ability to build and run a planning cycle (annual or half‑year) and operating cadence for senior leadership.
• Experience drafting board or executive materials and distinguishing between readouts and narratives.
• Background in headcount planning and hiring operations alongside talent teams.
• Comfortable working as an individual contributor while building a function from the ground up.

Required skills

• Strong financial modeling and budgeting skills.
• Expertise in planning frameworks such as OKRs.
• Vendor evaluation and procurement experience.
• Ability to create data‑backed executive presentations.
