Hairstylist – Luxury Spa

About the role

The Hairstylist will create personalized hair experiences for members of Discovery Land Company, delivering high‑quality salon services while promoting retail product sales. You will work in a luxury spa environment, staying current with the latest trends and techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome clients, consult on desired hairstyles, and determine preferences.
• Perform shampooing, cutting, coloring, highlighting, balayage, and up‑do styling.
• Provide additional services such as scalp treatments, keratin treatments, and hair extensions.
• Recommend and sell hair‑care retail products, entering transactions in the POS system.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized workstation and adhere to OSHA and salon safety protocols.
• Manage bookings, record client information, and build lasting client relationships.

Required profile

• Current California Cosmetology License.
• 2–3 years of professional salon experience, preferably in a luxury, resort, or spa setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Professional appearance, flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Haircutting, precision haircutting, and blowouts.
• Coloring, highlights, balayage, gloss toners.
• Chemical services, keratin treatments, hair extensions.
• Scalp treatments, deep conditioning, Forman styling, up‑dos.
• Basic computer proficiency and POS system usage.
