Guest Mentor for Elementary Students

About the role

The Guest Mentor supports HOLLA School’s mission by connecting relationally with students, staff, and families, serving as a positive role model, and assisting classroom teachers during lessons and school activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in‑class, small‑group, and one‑on‑one support for students, preparing materials and supervising projects.
• Assist during unstructured times such as lunch and recess, ensuring safety and facilitating conflict resolution.
• Support classroom logistics: set up supplies, move furniture, make photocopies, and help with field trips.
• Collect data on teacher‑created forms and attend professional‑development meetings.
• Serve as a point of connection between home and school and step in as a substitute teacher when needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience acceptable.
• Experience working with elementary‑aged youth in diverse settings.
• Creative, adaptable, flexible, and curious mindset.
• Physical ability to stand, walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb.
• Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination and successful background check.
